Party Spotlight: Ashley Miller

Happy Friday friend! For this week’s Party Spotlight, we have a new party member joining the game. Please welcome Ashley Miller! Ashley is brand new to War & Aether and tabletops in general and she started her first campaign with us about a month ago! Do you remember what your first tabletop game was, how did it go? We’d love to hear all about it! Feel free to leave your stories in the comment section below! And now, without further adieu, let’s learn more about our newest Party Member Ashley!

Q1: As a brand new Tabletop Roleplaying Game player, what made you want to start tabletop?

Ashley Miller (AM): What made me want to start tabletop was simply seeing friends and significant-other play and have a great time doing so. You can be as creative as you want with it without judgement.

Q2: What do you like or dislike most about Tabletops over other games?

AM: I like the fact you have to be creative and think outside the box sometimes.

Q3: Why did you start your experience with playtesting an unreleased War and Aether (W&A) Rulebook over a different game?

AM: I was offered a spot at the table for this game because I mentioned in the past I was interested in playing.

Q4: Being completely new to Tabletops, how easy or how challenging was it to learn how to play W&A?

AM: It’s definitely a challenge but it’s not impossible.

Q5: Has there been anything from playing Tabletops yourself that surprised you?

AM: The thing that has surprised me the most is the fact I really enjoy playing.

Q6: What’s been your favorite part about playing Tabletop?

AM: Favorite thing so far is being able to step out of my comfort zone and being open to more creativity.

Q7: What’s been your least favorite part about playing Tabletop?

AM: So far I don’t have a least favorite part.

Q8: What was the process like for creating your first ever Tabletop character? Did you have any specific ideas or inspirations for them?

AM: When it came to character development I didn’t know what I was doing and just knew I wanted stealth as one of my top skills. Now I know what to expect and am confident in creating more specific characters.

Q9: What’s been your most memorable Tabletop experience so far? Tell us about it.

AM: I’m so new to it but so far the most memorable experience I have is the strategy behind the battles we have faced thus far.

Q10: After playing W&A, are you interested in playing more Tabletop games and settings in the future? Why or why not?

AM: Yes of course I would definitely play again! Really do like the fantasy and creativity of the game.

Thank you so much Ashley for taking the time out of your schedule and answering our questions! Do you remember what your first tabletop game was, how did it go? We’d love to hear all about it! Feel free to leave your stories in the comment section below. And make sure to come back here for all things relating to War & Aether!
